From no brand to a movement in two weeks

A complete brand, landing page, and investor deck for a Norwegian startup community, built from strategy to handoff in a two-week sprint.

Relentlessly

Relentlessly is a Norwegian startup community that helps people build companies from the very first idea, before any incubator gets involved. When they came to me they had a strong belief and a growing community, but a bootstraped identity. The goal was to build a real brand from the ground up: the strategy, the story, the visual system, the website, and an investor deck, all in a two-week sprint.

Deliverables:
Brand Identity, Landing Page, Pitch Deck and Social Media Assets.

Project Length:
2 weeks

One belief, built into everything.

Relentlessly had a real community and a founder with a clear point of view. What it didn’t have was a brand. The challenge here was to find the one true thing underneath it all and build everything on top of that, fast enough to keep up with a community already growing, and open enough to welcome anyone. It started with strategy. Through founder interviews, a survey of the community, and the founder’s own words, one belief kept surfacing: nobody should have to build alone. That became the spine of the whole brand. From it came the positioning, the layer before the incubator, a ten-point manifesto written with the community, and a verbal identity that sounds direct and human instead of corporate.

The overline is grassroots positioning turned into a visual system

The visual system turned the idea into something you can see: the overline, a signature typographic device where a line sits above every title at ground level and the words grow down from it, bottom-up made visible. A bold, colourful system where the palette stands for the community itself, many colours, one group. The brand ran across a landing page built to convert, an investor deck the founder took to raise, and a brandbook that lets the in-house team carry it forward without me. The result is a brand that finally looks like what the community already felt, and one that can grow as fast as they do.
